Permanent Jewelry FAQ

PERMANENT JEWELRY FAQ

What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent Jewelry is a dainty chain that we custom fit to your wrist or ankle and weld closed. These chains do not have clasps, but rather are welded together to make sure these pretty little things aren’t going anywhere! It’s an adorable piece that easily fits in to your everyday style.

What are the chains made of?

Our chains are handcrafted with 925 Sterling Silver, 18K Gold Vermeil, micron plated (more than 2x our regular plating for extra durability) and then sealed with the nano technology.

How much does it cost?

Bracelets range from $89-$109 and anklets range from $99-$119.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are accepted with a potential short wait time. Booking an appointment is recommended to make sure we can help you as quickly as possible. To book an appointment please contact us at info@houseofmoda.ca. For groups larger than five, we offer parties at our showroom which can be held during or after our store hours. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.

What if it comes off or I want it removed?

We understand that life happens! We are here to help the best we can. If you need to remove your jewelry for any reason, use a pair of scissors to cut the jump ring where your piece was welded together- to maintain the integrity of the chain. Your warranty covers one complimentary re-weld, after that there will be a $10 fee to repair your piece in case it breaks. If you don’t feel comfortable cutting it, we can definitely cut it in our boutique for you.

Please note, House of Moda is not liable for lost pieces. If your piece is pulled in such a way that it is beyond repair, unfortunately we won’t be able to fix it.

You will not need to remove your piece if you are going through airport security.

Can I change my mind after my bracelet is attached?

Unfortunately, whereas these pieces are custom, they will be final sale. If you decide the permanent jewelry look isn’t for you, we can attach a clasp for you to wear your piece when you want.

Does it hurt?

Absolutely not! The welding process is pain free and safe for everyone. However, minors under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
